An electrical fire is problematic because it can’t be extinguished with the most common element: water. Using water on an electrical fire will make the situation worse and could result in injury. Most professionals say that the first step is to contact the fire department. If it is safe to access the breaker box, find the main breakers and switch them off. It’s always smart to have a fire extinguisher handy but make certain it is the proper type. There are many classes of fire extinguishers. A Class “C” fire extinguisher or an ABC extinguisher are the only ones safe to use on electrical fires. Class “A” is for ordinary combustibles, like wood and paper, and Class “B” is for flammable liquids. If there isn’t a proper fire extinguisher available, throwing baking soda on the fire may help. If the fire cannot be put out quickly, leave the area and wait for the fire department.

There are many different sizes and types of fire extinguishers. For example, the large fire extinguishers that are kept in schools or office buildings are obviously much larger than those kept in a home kitchen or in a vehicle because they are meant to contain a larger threat than other personal fire extinguishers. The fire extinguishers that are kept in the home of a kitchen should be a medium size, big enough to contain a grease fire but not so big that it cannot be easily lifted. The fire extinguisher that are kept in vehicles are obviously meant to be smaller so that they can travel easily without taking up too much room while still providing the safety of having one on hand, just in case.

The Last Movie I Saw

I saw Inception at the theater two weeks ago. A lot of people say it is almost too deep and complicated but I figured it out in one viewing. Dream within a dream and it has an ambiguous ending. Chris Nolan is my new favorite director. His movies have depth. My films will also have depth. In fact I believe one of my films is much deeper than Nolan’s films in that there are a lot of connections to be made with the characters. Inception is a great movie; in fact I would say it is the only good movie this year. There were mediocre and okay films but Inception is the only good one.

Where I Currently Live

Interesting how I ended the last topic talking about where I live, because I am supposed to talk about my place. I live in Chandler which is a suburb of Phoenix Arizona. It is a nice looking area, especially where Chandler Fashion Center is. A lot of people are nice, but since this is an upscale area, there are some uppity, stuck up and nosy people as well. The cops are nice. If you are asking how I know the cops, it’s because I get called on a lot. (See shallow people) No place is perfect. This is a nice city, people for the most part leave you alone and you do not have to worry about violence.

What I Wore Today

I wore dark clothes today. I wore a black athletic sweatpants and a dark blue button down shirt. This could be the reason for a lot of dirty looks and unfair treatment I get due to the fact that I wear dark clothes almost all of the time. I don’t really have much else to wear due to my situation. I am hoping to be able to buy more clothes so I could have an easier time getting work and people will be a little nicer to me and quit accusing me of bad things that I wouldn’t do. People are shallow where I live.

Fire is incredibly dangerous

Fire really frightens me. I remember watching the events unfolding on September 11. It broke my heart to see people trapped on the upper floors. The smoke and the fire must have been really intense. I found the entire day unbelievable and cruel. I wish there had been a fire escape rope ladder to help everyone escape. It was difficult to comprehend that both of the building collapsed which was due mainly due to the force of the plane and the flames. After this event I was quite reluctant to work in high rise buildings. I think all buildings should have adequate fire drills and fire safety equipment at hand.

If I Could Have Anything in the World

I really don’t know what I would have if I could have anything in the world. As you grow older, material things mean less and less to you (well for some people. People seem to grow more materialistic as they get older) A lot of people would say that they want the latest and most fancy car or some other hot gadgets but these do not impress me. I’m actually more inclined toward the spiritual with room for material gain. There are many things that I might want to get, but I understand that if I don’t get it, my life will still continue.

Something that means a lot to me

One thing that means a lot to me is how people treat each other. I like to see people being treated equally. I like equal rights. I do not like when I see people getting singled out for mistakes when others are making the same mistakes and getting away with it. Part of the reason is because I’m always the one getting singled out. It sends the message that some people have more rights than others even though we are all supposed to be on equal footing. I believe rules should apply to all people regardless of how well liked they are.

My Favorite Childhood Memories

One of my favorite childhood memories is in 6th grade. I’ve learned that looks may not matter when it comes to relationships with the opposite sex. There was this one girl who I thought was so attractive and good looking that I thought that she wouldn’t even glance at me. I was a fat tub of lard at the time. (And my father would make it a point to rub it in at every chance) I pretended that I never saw her and ignored her. One day I caught her staring at me, but I figured that she was appalled at how fat I was. Then I found out that she liked me. I still have a hard time believing that to this day.

Playing the Part

A few friends and I went to a Halloween party last year dressed up as a rock band. I was the drummer, so all I could really do was twirl drumsticks all night. A few of our other friends had some really great costumes. I was surprised how much time and effort went into them. One of my friends was a firefighter. He had on a fire warden hat and a firefighter uniform that his girlfriend made for him. It looked real but it was made from fabric she purchased at a store. I didn’t win any awards for my costume, and neither did my firefighter friend.
